    TOH is a compassionate provider of comprehensive, high quality, patient-focused health care services in English and French to a population of 1.5 million people in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario. It boasts specialty centres in cancer, heart, kidney and vision care, as well as rehabilitation services.

The Faculty of Medicine bears special responsibility to the communities of the Ottawa/Carleton region, the Franco/Ontarian community, and affiliated communities of Northern and Eastern Ontario. To fulfill these responsibilities, the Faculty of Medicine seeks to prepare a sufficient number of our students to function professionally in both official languages.

    The Ontario Medical Association (OMA) represents the political, clinical and economic interests of the province's medical profession. Practicing physicians, residents, and students enrolled in any of the six Ontario faculties of medicine are eligible for OMA membership.
